My name is Léda Davies and I’m a circus artist specializing in silks (aerial tissue or fabric), Straps, Weggsphere and acrobatic dance based out of Montreal, QC.
Born and raised in the prairies of Calgary, AB, I completed by BFA in Drama (minor in dance) at the University of Calgary in 2008, and I have been an active member of the theatre, dance, and circus scene for over 10 years.
In 2013 I moved to Montreal and began training with Canada’s leading circus artists and coaches (featured in this blog). As a circus artist I have performed in music videos, staged productions and outdoor festivals in Montreal, Ottawa, Calgary and Edmonton.
Whether on stage at the National Arts Centre, in a freight elevator for a site-specific performance, or off of a 5-story building I tenaciously blend physicality and story telling in everything I do.
I moved to Montreal in the spring of 2013 with the objective of creating new circus acts that integrate my multiple disciplines and to expand my circus repertoire in order to become a professional circus artist.
I am passionate about living a sustainable lifestyle as a high level multi-disciplinary artist.
This is where I share my thoughts on artistic process, upcoming events, recipes, and more.
